Mountain-View Micro Wedding at Stanley City Park
Lexi and Logan gathered with their closest loved ones for a scenic micro wedding at Stanley City Park. This day was long anticipated by both the couple and their loved ones, and everyone was simply grateful to be together and celebrating in such a spectacular destination.

Lexi + Logan’s Micro Wedding at Stanley City Park
A sunrise first look at Stanley Lake
This wedding was happening around the time that all the Stanley fires were unfortunately coming to a head, which meant there was a lot of anxiety as to whether it would even be able to happen. The nerves leading up to any wedding day can be intense, and I was so impressed at how Lexi and Logan were able to be such good sports the entire time even with a fire threatening their wedding plans. In the end it was as if Mother Nature rewarded them because everything came together beautifully. Rain came the day before their wedding to clear the smoke, and they lucked out with all the mountains out for their special day. It made everyone even more thankful for the stunning landscapes that they were able to enjoy together!

Lexi and Logan started their day with a sunrise session at Stanley Lake. This time was set aside because they wanted to exchange vows in private as the sun rose over the mountains. I will forever be a lover of morning elopements, but the foggy sunrise these two had on their wedding day particularly stole my heart; nothing beats watching the clouds roll across the Sawtooths as the sun paints a pink alpenglow on the mountain peaks. The last bits of early morning fog and mist were quiet company as Lexi and Logan shared this sweet time with each other and their new pup Moose.

Getting ready in the rustic Danner’s Log Cabins
Lexi and Logan had spent years adventuring in the Stanley area, so it only felt right that they should plan an intimate wedding celebration with their family among the Sawtooth Mountains. The two got ready for their wedding ceremony at a pair of old log cabins in Stanley, the ideal place to embrace the rustic atmosphere of the little town of Stanley. It was important for Lexi and Logan to keep their day simple, sweet, and romantic for each other, and to have plenty of opportunities to be really connected.

Lexi and Logan spent the getting ready part of their day with each other and with family and friends that came and went from the group of cabins they rented for everyone. Watching couples get ready separately, and come together at the end to help with finishing touches, is always such a sweet thing—there are no rules that determine how you should or shouldn’t get ready on your wedding day. Whether individually or together, with or without loved ones by your side, getting ready is a special part of your wedding that shouldn’t be rushed or taken for granted.

A stunning mountain-view ceremony at Stanley City Park
We were so thrilled to see that the smoke had disappeared for Lexi and Logan’s day right on time, as it allowed their ceremony location to boast the most breathtaking views of the Sawtooths. Most of this wedding was DIY’d by the couple, making their ceremony floral arrangement even more impressive—they used a majority of faux flowers to create an “altar” installment, as well as to fill blue vases that lined the aisle. This goes to show that you don’t need the fanciest or most expensive florals in order to curate a stunning environment; sometimes all you need are incredible mountain views and a few bright blue flowers to match the Idaho skies. Watching Lexi and Logan tie the knot amidst the awe-inspiring Sawtooth mountains was a joy for everyone involved!

A laid-back sunset celebration
Lexi and Logan’s desire for a simple, laid-back wedding day didn’t stop at their ceremony—it continued into their evening celebration, held underneath the park’s picnic pavilion where everybody could enjoy the vast mountain views. Family and friends toasted to their love as they enjoyed slices of pizza and cheered on the newlyweds during their cake cutting, toasts, and first dances.

The “first dance” is a wedding tradition that doesn’t have to disappear during an elopement, and I loved that Lexi and Logan kept it as a part of their day. It’s a tradition that I personally love! Here are a few tips for making your first dance amazing, whether it’s just the two of you at your elopement or you’re eloping with family:
