Snowshoeing Engagement | Michaela & David | McCall, Idaho
Michaela & Davids snowshoeing engagement session was one of my favorite sessions to date. Most often engagement sessions are my first real interaction with a couple and I always get a little nervous before hand. Not every couple smiles at my prompts or thinks my ideas for getting a picture are good. But from the minute David rolled down the car window to great me I know these two where my type of people.
Engagement sessions that involve an activity always yield authentic images. I love being able to capture a couple interacting and enjoying something they love to do together. It was important to Michaela and David to include snow in their engagement session. Micheal and I emailed back and forth about snowy activities and landed on snowshoeing.
The weather was perfect the day of their engagement session. It had snowed the night before in McCall and the fresh layer of snow made the trees in Ponderosa State Park absolutely perfect. Ponderosa offers a variety of groomed and natural trails for snowshoeing and crosscountry skiing. And it’s dog 🐕 friendly!
The following are a few of my favorites from an afternoon spent playing in the snow.
